Re-used eagle heads bangle

A 19th century eagle bangle with a new bangle in black onyx. The eagle heads are re-used from an ancient bangle which was broken. Matignonne asked to fine lapidary craftsmen of Idar-Oberstein in Germany to take the time to find an onyx stone, big enough, to cut in one piece an onyx bangle on the precise size. They found it and they made it! The onyx bangle was set in the 18 karat yellow gold eagle heads. What a pleasure to save such engraved masterpieces on a new bangle ! The gold on black onyx make this piece a beautiful luxury jewel made with respect and experience. This is high-end piece of jewellery that mixes 19th century and 21th century craftsmanship.
